Our physical address is 6620 Marine avenue, Arbuckle CA, 95912. But if you use Google maps or Mapquest to come here, the software may route you to an area that is actually a private road with an irate farmer that won’t tolerate trespassers. So here’s the easiest way…
From the south (Sacramento, Davis, Bay Area, etc…it takes 40-45 minutes by car from Davis to get here) Take I-5 north to Redding. Those travelling from the Bay Area will take Hwy 80 to Hwy 505 (at Vacaville) to I-5. Pass the towns of Zamora and Dunnigan. About 1 mile past the rest stop in Dunnigan (two miles past where Hwy 505 meets I-5)you will see County Line Road…exit here. Go left (west) at the stop sign. Travel about 2 miles to the only other stop sign (I recommend travelling at about 45 mph or less, because this road just about always has potholes capable of ruining an expensive tire in a single blow; if you are going fast, you won’t see them in time to avoid them), then make a right turn onto Wildwood Rd/Rd 84. Travel another two miles…you will pass the cross-streets of Bruener, then Wisconsin, then Harrington, and then you will make a left turn onto Marine Avenue. Go about 1/4 mile down, and Nevermore Farm is the first property on the left that has a house. At this time we don’t have a farm sign or placard. The house is difficult to see behind huge blackberry hedges that front our property. Turn left into the driveway we share with the neighboring parcel (see photo). You will be turning where the mailboxes are–not sooner. Also, please do not park in the shared driveway…..go all the way in and you will see a large gravelled area with a greenhouse, shop, etc. Park anywhere in this area. We use the back door of our home as the front door, so please go right up to the purple door and knock if we aren’t already outside!
There are two pictures below to help you:
After you turn in (left) opposite the mailboxes for 6620 and 6610 Marine avenue, proceed to the end of the gravel driveway and stay to the left as shown below. The home at 6610 is currently vacant and is whitish in color. You will see a greenhouse and a large graveled area, you may park anywhere there. If we are not outside, please go to the back door (under the metal awning) of our home and knock…we rarely use our front door!
From the north (Orland, Willows, Colusa, Williams)…while there are many “back ways” to travel, the safest road is to take 1-5 south to the College City/Arbuckle exit. You will come to a stop sign, turn left onto Putman Way. You will almost immediately come to a four-way stop sign. Go STRAIGHT through the intersection and continue on Wildwood Rd. You should see Pierce High School on your left. Continue south on Wildwood …the road will make a large S-curve, be sure to stay on Wildwood Road, DO NOT go straight onto Wagner Rd. Keep going south for about another 1.5 miles. You will see Charter Oaks, the large almond processing plant, on your right. The next street is Marine Avenue, make a right turn, and please note the photos and other instructions above to travel the rest of the way.
